In addition to the incredible bays and rivers, Little Egg Harbor sits at the center of a host of protected wildlife areas, country clubs, and outdoor centers.
Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, Bass River State Park, and Byrne State Park have three things in common: They’re close, they’re huge, and they’re gorgeous. Hiking, camping, kayaking, and canoeing are encouraged. Bird watcher? Bald eagles, short eared owls, buffleheads, goldeneyes, osprey, purple martins, piping plovers, blue herons, egrets, etc. The list of native birds in our protected lands is endless.
