WELCOME and thank you for your interest in Little Egg Harbor Township.
Little Egg Harbor offers a variety of housing including bay and lagoon
waterfront communities, golf and retirement communities, and communities
abutting the state forest. Located on the Great Bay only six miles to the
Atlantic Ocean on the inter-coastal waterway we have some of the best boating and
fi shing on the Jersey Shore. Much of our waterfront housing is surrounded by
the 47,000+ acre Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. We are home to an
18-hole championship golf course open to the public on a 163 acre country club
and a County run 18 hole par 72 championship course also open to the public.
With two campgrounds, two sunbathing & fi shing beaches, a free boat launch
ramp, and more places to fi sh and crab than we can list there is no place quite like
Little Egg Harbor on the Jersey Shore. Did I mention the numerous restaurants
serving local produce and seafood? What about the Walmart and other shopping
opportunities? How about the fact that we are only 30 minutes from Atlantic
City by boat or car if the local taverns offering live music are not enough to keep
you entertained. Having a hard time giving up the 18 miles of pristine beaches on
Long Beach Island? Don’t! We are just a 15 minute ride to Ship Bottom. Little Egg
Harbor is truly a hidden Gem. On behalf of the entire Chamber of Commerce
